Solution If you already have the component installed and wish to upgrade to the latest version, first make a backup of your site and make a note of your settings

First Download the Latest Version

To use the Joomla Installer:
1. Uninstall the component. Some files are not deleted (from the virtuemart folders) but the component folders are deleted
2. Then reinstall via the Joomla installer,
3. Re-enter your settings.
4. Re-enter your licence key

Or you can use the manual upgrade method to retain your licence key and config settings

1. Locate the manual installation folder in the downloaded zip file
2. To retain your licence key and config settings, delete these local files first:
/administrator/components/com_yourcomponent/key.txt
/administrator/components/com_virtuemart/classes/payment/ps_yourcomponent.cfg.php
3. Upload (FTP) the manual installation folders to the root of the site.
4. Release and re-enter your licence key
